The balancing process involves spinning the rotating assembly of the turbo to speeds that the components will see in the field. By doing this, the smallest imbalance can be rectified. This provides for the quickest spool and longest service life. VSR balancing is not the same as balancing!!! Most rebuilt and aftermarket turbos are NOT VSR balanced. All EVP Stage 6 turbos come with a VSR balance report.

EVOLUTION POWERSPORTS BILLET ALUMINUM "VENT TO ATMOSPHERE" BLOW OFF VALVE KIT WITH FILTER
The Maverick X3 Vent to Atmosphere Blow Off Valve (BOV) kit is now complete. High performance turbo systems require a BOV when running higher than stock boost pressures. The reason is turbochargers continue to force air into the charge tubes and intercooler even after you lift off the pedal (which closes the throttle). Pumping air against a closed throttle super heats the air in the charge tubes and is damaging to the turbocharger bearing system. Installing a BOV allows this pressure to be released upon the closing of the throttle which increases throttle response in on/off/on throttle conditions by venting the the hot compressed air.
The Maverick X3 required extensive testing of various EVP spec springs to get the right balance of responsiveness and performance. Our X3 Turbo blow off valve is CNC machined from a billet aluminum slug. After tolerances are verified, the piston and body are Teflon coated. Extreme temperature Viton sealing o-rings are used for long service life. Our BOV’s are designed specifically for offroad, small displacement engines and not adapted from larger road use vehicles. We are the only powersports company that designs BOV’s specifically for each vehicle. We even include a custom fitted filter with every kit to keep dirt and debris out of the BOV outlet ports!

CAN AM MAVERICK X3 AIR/OIL SEPARATOR “CATCH CAN"
What is an air/oil separator or “catch can” and why do you need one? The factory recirculates crankcase air back into the intake. This air contains oil, moisture and other combustion byproducts which contaminates the air that is being fed to the turbocharger. The oil and water infused air coats the turbocharger compressor blades, charge tubes, inter cooler and intake valves. It can also change the air/fuel ratio and lower the effective octane of the mixture being introduced into the cylinder. Oil has a very low knock threshold, therefore the more oil contained in the incoming air, the lower the effective knock protection of whatever fuel is being used.
The EVP Air/Oil Separator or “Catch Can” is designed specifically for the Can Am X3 and eliminates the issues described above. Our CNC machined billet aluminum separator mounts to the frame rail above the clutch housing. The OEM crankcase vent hose is simply rerouted to the new location. The EVP separator has a cleanable filter element, pre filter and features a port at the bottom for periodic emptying of the contaminants. A silicone cap is supplied to block off the port on the intake boot where the OEM breather hose is connected. All hardware is stainless steel and the body of the separator is powder coated black.
EVOLUTION POWERSPORTS SILICONE CHARGE TUBES WITH BOV PORT
The EVP reinforced silicone charge tubes for the X3 are in stock and ready for big boost! Our direct replacement boost hoses have been burst tested to over 100 psi and come with high strength T-Bolt clamps for the throttle body and both sides of the intercooler(the turbocharger clamp stays OEM) The tubes have a BOV port and an extra port for a boost gauge. Not only are our charge tubes super strong and burst proof, but they add a bit of bling as well!

MAVERICK X3 INTERCOOLER FAN OVERRIDE KIT
Maverick X3 Intercooler Fan Override Kit –For customers that want full control over their intercooler fan and when it is activated, our override switch is the answer. 100% plug and play kit seamlessly connects into the intercooler fan harness and allows the switch to control the fan. When the switch is turned on, the fan will run all the time. When switch is off, the OEM ECU controls the intercooler fan based on the ECU settings like stock. This comes as a complete wiring kit with relay, on/off switch, 30-Amp fuse and +/- leads to connect to the battery.
MAVERICK X3 TURBO REPLACEMENT SPARK PLUGS
Maverick X3 Turbo Replacement Spark Plugs – EVP has sourced and tested a very high quality, direct replacement spark plug for the Can Am X3. These are made by a company that specializes in high boost spark plug technology. The issue with the OEM NGK plugs is they are fine wire type which tends to suffer from plug gap growth at a high rate. At stock boost pressures, this is normally not an issue, but with any tuning, misfires can become problematic. The Brisk plugs have silver core technology which will tolerate a tight gap that lasts far longer than the OEM plugs. We gap them in house so when the plugs arrive, they are ready to install.
